Towards Health Futures - Comparing Bio Data Ventures across Europe

What is the value of data for small and medium-sized companies in the field of bio tech and healthcare? How does access to open data repositories affect value creation, delivery, and capture?

This survey is part of a research project by Prof. Dr. Hannes Rothe (Freie Universität Berlin). In our research, we want to understand how small and medium-sized companies create, deliver and capture value from bio data. For this purpose, we survey the majority of European SMEs in the field. We hope that it is filled out by a representative of senior management within each company.

We will ask you a number of questions about your company. All data collected from the survey will be entirely confidential and will be used purely for research purposes unless not explicity otherwise stated. Storage of the data will adhere to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We will publish a summary report of the aggregated results together with ELIXIR. We also publish a list of European companies in the bio data domain online. All questionnaires are concealed and will only be accessed by professor Rothe directly.

The survey consists of four parts:

1. General information about your company

2. The role of bio data for product & services of your company

3. The role of open data in your company

(Optional 4.: Information to be shared about your conpany on the webpage)

The survey takes most people about 10 to 15 minutes to complete. We highly appreciate each and every second of your attention. Please be honest and sincere in your replies.

If you have any questions about this research, send us an e-mail to hannes.rothe@fu-berlin.de

Thank you!
